A Piece of Me by DC Stone – REVIEW

a piece of me

Yesterday, he was married to her best friend.

Tomorrow, her world shatters.

Today, she denies everything…including her heart.

Aimee isn’t a stranger to death and pain, but guilt drives her to make decisions she’ll come to regret. Choices she’ll have to take. A life with a man that shouldn’t be hers.

Gina’s Review:

It’s absolutely no secret that I’m a fan of DC Stone. I’ve read all of her books and have loved each and every one. So, when A Piece of Me was released, I knew I’d be all over it. From the sexy cover to the intriguing blurb, I could not wait. And I was not disappointed. A Piece of Me-Garden Love, book 1 is DC Stone’s best book to date! And I don’t say that lightly.

Aimee has lost so much in her life. Her parents. Her grandfather. Now her best friend. Yes, the same best friend whose husband Aimee has been in love with forever. Fear of losing what little remains has kept her hiding in Colorado from anything real – other than her relationship with her twin sister, Lea. When her grandmother falls gravely ill several years later, Aimee returns to New Jersey and face-to-face with the one man who has owned her heart.

Tyler had lost a lot when his wife died in accident that almost killed him and left him with two small children. But he still had their best friend, Aimee – she’d help his family through it all because she was family. Only Aimee ran and left him even more shattered than he already was.

DC Stone has crafted a truly amazing love story. I could not put the book down, reading it in less than twenty-four hours and getting comments from my husband and kids that I was completely ignoring them all Sunday. I was sucked into the realness of the characters – the heartache, the laughs, the guilt, the love, the grind of daily living even when life has handed you lemons. The story is beautifully woven with all the things necessary to take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The best part is – you want to ride this rollercoaster because you have fallen in love with every single character in this story.

If you’re looking for a story full of life (and HOT sex), I strongly recommend A Piece of Me. I give it 5 sparkling, sexy, searing silver buckles. Well done, DC Stone! Well-flipping done!
