HEARTBREAKER
Filthy Dirty Love #1
Stacey Kennedy
Releasing Jan 31st, 2017

Handcuffs
aren’t just part of their job in this sizzling new
standalone novel by USA
Today bestselling author, Stacey Kennedy.

Veteran
cop, Maddox Hunt, is all about the job. Sure, there are women—lots of women,
truth be told—but there’s no one special. Until a one-night stand from his
past, rookie Joss O’Neil is assigned to his division. Suddenly, all he can
think about is her. The scent of her. The taste of her.

Fresh out
of field training, Joss has thrown herself into her job, determined to
kick-start her career. And while police work has its thrills, her gorgeous new
boss is what really gets her pulse pounding. Too bad he’s nothing but a
distraction. Especially since he’s as devastatingly handsome as she remembers,
and his sexy smile arrests her heart.
Now that
Joss is back in Maddox’s life, he has a plan: satisfy her fantasies and fulfill
his every dark desire. Nothing is off limits. Her pleasure is the endgame . . .
but even the best-laid plans have a way of falling apart. Despite his best
attempts to keep his distance and have things remain only about the pleasure,
Maddox soon finds himself breaking the only law he’s set for himself.
 Don’t fall in love.

Cindy’s Review

After a bad breakup, Joss O’Neil decides to throw caution to the wind and do something out of the ordinary – have a one night stand. Maddox Hunt, a man who refuses date, let alone let love in, gives Joss the release she’s looking for. One year later, not only are they still reminiscing over that one night, they now find themselves working together at the same Seattle PD precinct. She’s a rookie cop and he’s her commanding Lieutenant. With the memory still lingering, neither one can resist the obvious attraction they have for one another. And since neither of them want a relationship, Maddox comes up with a “friends with benefits” plan to scratch each other’s itch. Unfortunately, it all needs to remain a secret due to the PD’s no fraternization rule.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I have to say, I LOVED it! It is nothing short of hot, steamy and sexy. I thought the characters were well developed (the chemistry was felt right from the beginning), the storyline was interesting and the sex was off the charts! The author knew what she was doing when she was writing her kink. I needed a fan and a cigarette after reading those scenes. And just so you know, it’s 30 degrees here and I don’t smoke.

Maddox is a Dom with a kinky bdsm side. He’s the perfect combination of dominance, sexiness and compassion. Joss is strong-willed, caring and puts all her trust in Maddox. Even though she no longer conforms to what a man wants, she loves being dominated and playing Sub to Maddox’s Dom. It’s a rush like she’s never experienced before.

Maddox’s best friend, Grey, and Joss’ best friend, Emilia, add fun banter to the story. They also see through this “sex only” relationship that Maddox and Joss agree to. Grey and his mother, who adds more comedy to the story, throw out hints for Maddox let go of his past issues & let things naturally unfold between them.

I did not want to put this book down once I started it. This story will not disappoint and I give it 4.5 buckles!!
