Genres: Adult, Romance

Having a mad crush on her boss’s son, Matt Lacroux–an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy–is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt’s life is hours away from Mira’s home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.

With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt’s publishing contract couldn’t have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, seductive Mira.

A surprise encounter leads to white-hot passions and midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt’s sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira’s not saving his father’s company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Seaside Summers is a series of stand-alone romances that may also be enjoyed as part of the larger Love in Bloom series.

Nat’s Review:

I could not put this novel down! It had me hooked from the very first page, clear through to the last word! I have to admit that I was a little nervous before beginning it, as I had not read the other books in the series, but I’m so thankful that I didn’t let that deter me from picking it up. Seaside Whispers can definitely hold its own as a stand alone novel- although at this point, I can’t wait to read every one of Melissa Foster’s other books- especially the others in this series.

I adore Mira and Matt and the irresistible magnetism that drew them to each other. It reminded me of the excitement that I felt when I first began dating my husband. The butterflies, the daydreaming, the constant racing heart from just their simple touch …it was as if I was watching this beautiful love story unfold between the two of them. The patience that Matt exhibited with Mira as she naturally guarded her feelings in order to protect herself and her son, Hagen, was so beautiful. Yet, all the while, she couldn’t resist the chivalry and caring nature that he showered her with, while also consistently showing how much he cared for Hagen as well.

The passion that was shared between Matt and Mira was so erotic, they just could not get enough of each other. Melissa Foster wrote some of the most sensual love scenes in this book! I think part of that comes from the fact that Matt and Mira care so deeply for each other. It wasn’t just about the sex with them- though let me make it clear that the sex was AMAZING, they shared such a deeper connection and bond. Seaside Whispers is absolutely beautifully written!

I give Seaside Whispers 4.5 silver buckles and I am now a huge fan of Melissa Foster and her brilliance!
